Directed by actor-director Tim Blake Nelson, The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd is a prison drama that explores the moral purpose of incarceration. The story follows Karen (Amanda Seyfried), a teacher who works at a maximum security prison. She gets to know inmate Wilson (Scoot McNairy) and his tender demeanor gets through her emotional barriers. Karen risks everything for the possibility of Wilson’s freedom. Joining Tim Blake Nelson at the TIFF premiere at Roy Thompson Hall were stars Amanda Seyfried, Wunmi Mosaku, Grant Harvey, William Jackson Harper, Missi Pyle, and Devyn Tyler.
