The 97th Academy Awards (The Oscars)
Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood
March 2nd, 2025
Honoring movies released in 2024
Conan O’Brien was the perfect choice to host the 97th Academy Awards, and effortlessly pulled off one of the toughest gigs in Hollywood. But, it was Anora and director Sean Baker who stole the show with his deserved four wins — a commendable achievement for an indie film with an indie budget. In Baker’s words, “long live independent film!”
