2018 Golden Globe Winners

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

The 2018 Golden Globe Winners were revealed at Sunday night’s ceromony where women and men were dressed in all black in support of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movement. The evening’s highlight was of course Oprah Winfrey being awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Award and her rousing speech. Followed immediately by Natalie Portman calling out the lack of female directors in the Best Director category!

Quite surprised that Three Billobards beat out The Shape of Water as del Toro’s fantasy had the most nominations out of any film! But here we are!

Again, it was always going to be Elisabeth Moss due to the love and relevance of The Handmaid’s Tale. While Elisabeth is excellent and deserving of such an award, Claire Foy’s portrayal of Queen Elizabeth is much more challenging and affective. I wish she’d won it.

Again, it was always going to be Nicole due to the love for Big Little Lies. Having said that, Jessica Lange as Joan Crawford was a much more intricate and interesting performance!
