The London Korean Film Festival has announced its lineup for 2017, with several UK and International premieres. This year brings the usual mix of new releases and old classics, alongside strands focusing on Korean Noir, and contemporary female voices.

The LKFF had been running a number of ‘teaser’ screenings throughout the year, counting down to the festival with the latest South Korean cinema; culminating this week in a special screening of Jung Byung-gil’s The Villainess.

This year’s opening and closing films complement each other, both starring Actress Kim Sae-byeok. The UK Premiere of director Hong Sangsoo’s Cannes acclaimed The Day After will kick-off the festival while the UK Premiere of Kim Dae-hwan’s The First Lap will close the festival.
