Han Solo: A New Star Wars Story Begins Production

Principal photography on the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars movie officially began at Pinewood Studios in London on February 20th, 2017. The film will explore the adventures of Han and Chewbacca which take place before Star Wars: A New Hope.

The directing duo of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, known primarily for The Lego Movie, are directing this new Star Wars story, with a cast that includes Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca.

We shall find out if anyone besides Harrison Ford can play Han Solo when the untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story is released in May, 2018.
