BFI London Film Festival: The Lobster Premiere
by Joanna Orland
From the moment I reviewed The Lobster at Cannes Film Festival back in May, I knew it would likely turn out to be my favourite film of the year. Here we are in October, and I have yet to find a film to surpass it. And in the midst of the 2015 edition of the BFI London Film Festival where there is film aplenty, The Lobster still holds my top spot.
Therefore, it was a huge honor to speak with the filmmakers behind the most interesting film of the year. We spoke to Colin Farrell (David), Ariane Labed (The Maid), Jessica Barden (Nosebleed Woman), Michael Smiley (Loner Swimmer), Rachel Weisz (Short Sighted Woman) and Yorgos Lanthimos (the actual director of The Lobster) about what makes this film so unique:
