Inside Out Press Conference

by Jenny Donoghue

Amy Poehler showed off her new look at the London Press Conference for Pixar’s latest triumph, Inside Out. Ditching her usual blonde and sporting glossy brown hair, the film’s charming star was loveable as ever, making the room laugh out loud several times. Joining Poehler were producer Jonas Rivera and writer and director Pete Docter, the man behind many of Pixar’s inspired successes, including Monsters Inc, Up, Wall-E and Toy Story. The pair spoke of how their daughters inspired the idea behind Inside Out, which takes place inside the mind of an eleven year old girl with her emotions personified as characters who live in her brain. Poehler, who voiced the film’s main character, Joy, added that she too could relate to the story as a parent, as well as personally as an adult. As the trio described the making of the film, it was clear it’s been a labour of love for them. If their enjoyment for the process was any indication, audiences will be impressed and moved by Inside Out, which looks to join Pixar’s legacy of heart-warming hits, gaining fans from adults and children alike.
