BFI London Film Festival Programme Launch
by Laura Patricia Jones
Eagerly awaited by film fans across the capital, today was the big day that the BFI announced the full programme for this year’s London Film Festival. Like for kids at Christmas, the reveal was a long anticipated treat to finally see what excitement the festival would be offering us this year. The festival now in its 58th year boasts a stellar line-up to compliment opening and closing Galas The Imitation Game and Fury respectively.
Highlights include Alan Rickman’s A Little Chaos in which he directs his second feature performing alongside LFF sweetheart Kate Winslet, Jean Marc Vallee’s Wild from the Nick Hornby screenplay starring Reese Witherspoon, Jason Reitman’s Men, Women and Children including a sultry voiceover from Emma Thomson and the Bradley Cooper/ J Law dream team are back with Susanne Bier’s Serena. Also with a cherry-picked line up of art house flicks and thought-provoking tales from first time directors, this year looks set to be one of the best yet.
