Back to the Future the Musical

My, my… How quickly 30 years has come and gone.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of greatest film of all time Back to the Future, the film’s director Robert Zemeckis will co-write a West End musical of the iconic film which originally starred Michael J. Fox. The musical is set to debut in London for the 30th anniversary in 2015.

Zemeckis, who both co-wrote and directed the film, will reunite with the film’s other co-writer Bob Gale to write the book for the stage adaptation. The film’s composer Alan Silvestri is also on board to co-write the music and lyrics for the show, alongside songwriter Glen Ballard.

British theatre director Jamie Lloyd will direct the production.
