BFI’s Luminous Gala

Britain’s top film talent gathered for Luminous, a fundraising Gala event to celebrate British film and to help secure the future of the BFI National Archive which is the UK’s National Collection of film and television.  Hosted by Jonathan Ross at 8 Northumberland Avenue in London on October 8th, 2013, the Gala event aimed to raise vital funds to preserve and digitize the National Collection of film and TV to safeguard it for future generations.  To assist in the fundraising, an auction was commissioned with prizes including:

  • Formula 1 replica car from the film Rush
  • John Travolta’s autographed suit that he wore in Face/Off
  • Daniel Craig’s velvet jacket from Our Friends in the North
  • Child and adult walk-on parts in BFI Film Fund films
  • An opportunity to join Ken Loach editing his latest film Jimmy’s Hall
