The Beta Males

by Joanna Orland

The Beta Males are a sketch act known as the rising stars on the comedy scene. Recently nominated for Best Sketch or Character Act at this year’s Chortle Awards, the comedians are no strangers to such high accolades and critical acclaim.  With previous shows The Bunker and The Train Job in the bag, the group are currently working on their latest show The Space Race in the lead up to this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The Beta Males frequently play gigs around London, including the upcoming Camden Crawl Festival as part of the Really Lovely Comedy line up.

The Beta Males are John Henry Falle, Jon Gracey, Guy Kelly and Richard Soames. Listen to our interview with the Betas as they tell us of their humble beginnings, how you too can join a comedy group, conquering America, eating cake and having it too, solo careers, and the revelation of who the Alpha male of the group is.

And on the matter of one word to summarize The Beta Males? Well, I’ve had to take control of the situation and delegate the word “hyphen”.
