Kings of Leon is the kind of band that you can go see live in concert and know every single song. Perhaps it’s because one sounds nearly identical to the next, or perhaps it’s because of their vast repertoire of hits. I’ll never quite be sure, but either way, I loved that I could sing along to everything!

The band arrived on stage to the tune of an Austra song, which was pretty cool as Austra are from Toronto and I get to write this shameless plug! They Kings of Leon commenced to play every single hit they have ever had. They may have omitted one of the ‘Somebody’ songs, but that’s irrelevant. It was a great set.

If you know of Kings of Leon but aren’t “that into them” to bother seeing them live, you are missing out. Like I said, they are one of those bands that you can sing along to with every song. Also, they are WICKED live. Their visuals are fantastically vibrant. Lead singer Caleb’s vocals are astounding. How does he get such a raspy voice to be so powerful? The band is also tight. True pros. And, as we discovered, they have a really fit guy on bass! Phwoar.

The entire evening was enjoyable on the whole. We met a guy who accidentally claimed he was on The Simpsons once… which was one of those you had to be there moments….. My friend got sexually harassed by a Pizza vendor… And oh so much more.

If Kings of Leon come back to town, don’t miss out on the chance to see them live. Overall, a fantastic gig.
