Tom Hanks will be bookending this year’s London Film Festival!

The 57th BFI London Film Festival has announced that this year’s Opening Night will take place on Wednesday October 9th with the European Premiere of CAPTAIN PHILLIPS.  The film is directed by Paul Greengrass and stars the one and only Tom Hanks, both of whom are expected to attend the Festival.

Not only that, but LFF has also announced that this year’s Festival will close on Sunday October 20th with the European Premiere of Disney’s SAVING MR. BANKS.  The film tells the tale of how Mary Poppins’ was brought to the big screen, is directed by John Lee Hancock, and stars… guess who…
